Reportedly (concentrica 'Hobb's Hybrid' x concentrica 'Jungle Gardens Grande') were crossed by Gary Hendrix, resulting in a grex of wide leaved beauties from which this plant came. Concentric banding and some blotching of reddish to deep purplish brown occurs with maturity and strong light. The center flush at anthesis is purple.
