The common names of Sting of Tears or String of Beads referrers to the shape of the leaves spaced on a slender stem. The stem roots at the nodes but is not a climber, instead does well in a hanging pot. A desert dweller from Namibia, it has green leaves in cultivation but in nature the color is darker, bluish or gray green with translucent, longitudinal stripes.
