W is the nickname for the one and only wood fired distiller. There are only a limited number of direct fire distillers in the world, and among them, wood fired distillers are unique. The thinned coniferous trees that overflow from the rich mountain life of Shizuoka are hand cut by local woodcutters and turned into firewood. Reviving distilling techniques from over 200
