Many leaders of the movement for civil and economic rights of African Americans gave speeches, with the most notable speech being Martin Luther King Jr.'s iconic "I Have a Dream" speech. In this speech, King called for an end to legalized racism and segregation. This historic photo shows the crowd gathered on the National Mall. People are packed closely together, filling
