Nightfall in Penarth canvas One of the many fabulousThis is an original 12 12 cm oil pastel sketch from my sketchbook, mounted to 20 20 cm with a white mount and grey backing board. I made it while walking through the streets of Penarth one evening after the rain. The light was fading and the street had taken on that brief, strange warmth you only notice at the end of the day. The reds and blues began to merge in a way that felt almost unreal, like the start of a memory rather than the end of a day.
