Woman Reclining on Clouds, a Framed Art Nouveau Fireplace Frieze by Providential vase Vintage Arts and Crafts MissionThis pretty antique three tile panel has a scantily clad woman resting in clouds modeled in low relief. Made at the Providential Tile Works (1886 1913) in Trenton New Jersey and probably designed by Isaac Broome, each tile measures 6" square and covered in a pink mauve majolica glaze. A soft mold and crazing gives this maiden an ethereal quality. It is enclosed in a simple black wooden frame with a burl trim. The backing has a window cut to expose the
