Due to a shortage of barrels in 2014, this high rye bourbon mash bill was barreled into once used bourbon barrels. We aged these barrels for about 4 years before trying the whiskey. It was very light, crisp and refreshing, but just wasn't what we were looking for. We decided to age a small amount for a year in a brand new oak barrel with a lighter char. After a few months
