Brass Spyglass Hand-Held Telescope in Leather Case, Made in France This 16 inch antique firefighterHere is a lovely antique hand held telescope or spyglass made of brass with a leather coating and a matching leather belt case. The cap of the scope is marked "Made in France." The spyglass works properly and images are crisp and clear. The leather on the handle is somewhat worn, but intact and soft. The leather case is also in good condition. The scope measures 13" when extended and 5" when compressed.
