Royal Delft Sailboat Tile in an Arts and Crafts Frame Fulper Clips on the back makeThis is a handsome Arts and Crafts era tile by Porceleyne de Fles AKA Royal Delft. The scene is of a sailboat on the ocean, the sky filled with puffy white clouds. It is made in the cuenca, or raised line process, and is covered in RD's exceptional crystalline glazes. The tile measures 4 1 4" square and it is housed in an old Arts and Crafts era frame in a fine dark finish and profile. The backing paper was cut so that the impressed mark is visible.
