It is used when ligation and other conventional methods of achieving hemostasis are ineffective or dangerous. It can be cut with sterile scissors. It should be applied under pressure directly to the bleeding surface. The amount of the DSI ORC and the time of exposure to pressure is determined by the type and amount of bleeding. DSI ORC
