Painted Corbel From Maharashtra - 19th Century Material - Cryptomeria 33 x 16 x 23A carved teak corbel (architectural beam support) salvaged from an old building in Maharashtra. Dating from the 19th century and painted with natural mineral pigments in pastel colours. This corbel depicts a stylised parrot with neck emerging from finely carved teak wood.
