The brooch is encrusted with clear rhinestones throughout, with bright red rhinestones on the two antennae. There are marquise navette cut clear rhinestones on the wings and an oval stone in the centre. The small clear diamante are pave set on a silver tone background, but the whole setting of the rest of the brooch is thick gold
