Carved Tribal Food Bowl From Nagaland - Ca 1920 Material Cardboard 58 x 30 x 67This tall food bowl is from the tribal area of Nagaland in the North Eastern area of India bordering Myanmar. These food bowls were used every day by the Konyak tribe and other Nagaland tribes for eating meals. It is beautifully patinated. Nagaland is still a tribal area with the Konyak tribe being one of the largest tribes. Historically, the tribes of Nagaland were head hunters going to war with neighboring tribes. Men of the tribes were heavily
