Chinese Red Elm Tapered Cabinet - Qing Dynasty Sideboards It is an exceptional exampleThis antique Chinese taper cabinet dates to the 18th century, Qing dynasty (1644 1911). The style is often known as a round corner cabinet (yuanjiaogui) and was first seen in the Ming dynasty (1368 1644). The pink lacquer found on the interior of the cabinet points to this being an early piece 18th century. It is made from red elm (jumu) in the Suzhou style.
