Brass Bound Burmese Teak Military Chest - 19th Century Origin - Cambodia This is a really lovelyThis 19th century Burmese chest is made to British military standards from the 19th century. Also called a Burmese campaign chest, these were Burmese copies of the Anglo Indian Military chests which were originally used by officers of the British Indian Army to carry their kit and personal possessions whilst on tour. There was a British presence in Burma in the 19th century so it is likely this was made for someone stationed in Burma. It is crafted
