Glazed Anglo Indian Teak Book Cabinet - Late 19th Century Famille-Rose Porcelain giving the cage a lightThis old colonial Indian book cabinet dates to the late 19th century. Constructed from teak wood, these were used in Indian government offices across India. Perfect for a storage cabinet or for large books. The cabinet has double doors opening to reveal three teak wood shelves. Two pull out drawers at the base offer additional storage. It has been sympathetically restored in our workshop and has retained its original brass hardware and fabulous patina
