Burnt Orange Porcelain Danping Vase - Phoenix & Quilin Takhat Tables This reproduction Chinese Blue &This reproduction Chinese porcelain flower vase is decorated in iron red glaze, sometimes called coral red. This style was a development from sancai porcelain of the Ming period and came to prominence in the early Qing dynasty. The orange glaze depicts a Phoenix and Quilin in an outdoor setting. Qilin were creatures with parallels to unicorns and were said to herald the birth or death of a wise sage or great ruler. The phoenix is considered an omen of
