Hamilton Tile Works Rebekah at the Well Germany Royal Copenhagen Aluminia Faience TileA late 19th century Victorian tile of Rebekah by the Hamilton Tile Works of Hamilton Ohio (1883 1901) in a lovely light blue glaze. It measures 12" tall and 6" wide. It is a beautiful clean example in a sharp mold and clean unworn surface. Although the imagery is classical in nature, it has a modern Art Deco feel as well. In the Bible Rebekah at the Well symbolizes the kindness and love she showed to Isaac as she offered him and his camels water.
