An Air Force Observer Badge, C. 1940 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Instituted 1146A lovely badge in silvered tombac, two arching wings with the central crowned cypher of Carol II, the reverse presents two downward facing clips on each wing and one upward facing clip at 6 oclock, measures 35. 5mm (w) x 46. 3mm (h), weighs 13. 2 grams, very nice patina and detailing in extremely fine condition.
