It is marked “38” for size and with the quality control number “VO467” on the inside of its slim cutaway collar

Syria, Republic. An Order Of Civil Merit, Iv Class, C.1930 Newly Listed ColloquiallyInstituted in 1926. Type I with Six Arrows (1926 1953). In silver gilt with green and white enamels, maker marked "ARTHUS BERTRAND" and marked "DPOS" (Deposit) on the reverse, measuring 39. 5 mm (w) x 63 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: The Syrian government established this Order, to recognize acts of courage and commitment. Its design was changed in 1927 to a six pointed star
