Russia, Imperial. A Museum Exhibition Order of St. George, II Class Republic of marked “RZM 39”( ). Instituted 26 November 1769 by Catherine II (the Great). A reproduction cross of the Order of St. George, depicting a cross pattee in bronze gilt with white enamels arms, a handpainted central medallion on the obverse and reverse, measures 46 mm (w) x 50. 5 mm (h), arms of varying opaqueness, remains very fine.
