Lupine ‘Masterpiece' Colour:Purple Controls and prevents black spotThe tall spires of Lupines are an early summer border classic. Plants grow best in a deep, rich soil, slightly on the acidic side. This British hybrid produces midsized stems with spikes of bicolor blooms in a combination of bright magenta purple with an orange fleck. Prune back to 6 inches after blooming, to rejuvenate the foliage. As Lupines are not particularly long lived, plan to add in new plants every couple of years. Be on the lookout for aphid
