Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika while in mid flight, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, with two hooks emanating from the lower edge of the wreath to accommodate a gilded zink plaque, the obverse of which bears a
