Footnote: The Battalion was raised in British Columbia under the authority of G. O. 86, July 1, 1915, with the mobilization headquarters at Victoria. The Battalion sailed July 1, 1915 aboard the R. M. S. Grampian, with a strength of 38 officers and 1,020 other ranks, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel W. J. H.
